Like the BHO administration, I predict these guys won't even try to soft-pedal. They'll just start acting like it all belongs to them and ram their agenda down everyone's throats....

And the hypocrisy!

None of these guys said a word when Andrew Ainsworth was ripping off Master Replicas.

The douchery.

Other than my not knowing a license was issued (and I'll admit, that is a big issue) why would
my endeavor to make a uniform be a big deal with anyone?

It shouldn't be, USS Endeav.

Especially on a forum supposedly dedicated to the replication and distribution of props and costumes from movies and TV.

But now, you've got the owner of the RPF linked to a license holder, so all formerly valid assumptions are in the shitter.

Yes, I see your point...and I suppose if I just stated I made one for my own enjoyment
it would be a non issue but I blabbed that I was hoping to make these for others...

I wonder if a license is broad, covering every Trek uniform ever made or specific to
a period, show or movie.

Does it matter?

If the RPF is supposedly about making replica props and costumes available to the masses, why should you have to be wary about which licenses are covered.

UNLESS the owners of the RPF have a vested interest in protecting certain licenses.

That's why.

I guess I think of it as if I were them and I paid $$$ for that license as well as put the time and effort
into securing it...at least right now, the Nemesis uniform isn't the center of their focus so it was a future
toe I stood on, not the present toes.

This isn't good.

How long before other license holders show up?

What makes you think they haven't or haven't been lurking all along.
I know I would and would have, to protect my interest.

I don't blame any licenses holder who seeks to protect their investment.

The close association of this license holder with the ownership of the RPF is what concerns me.

When MR had the Star Wars license, the traffic in lightsabers, trooper helmets and Vader lids went on as normal.

Ah, I see what you mean...the correlation between a license holder and the owner of the RPF is dictating what is enfored
and what isn't. That is human nature, protect what is close, ignore what isn't but they are mistaken if they think that their
going to stop all trafficking in unlicensed props simply because they demand it on RPF.

No. They won't stop all trafficking in unlicensed items. Just the ones they have a financial interest in.

Sorry about that. I thought I posted the link.

That's no costume, it's a prop. So I guess BTTF is a no no.

Ok that's weird, go to the general prop section, and look for the locked thread.

Here it is.
